Gozo Revisited – Aug 2018

Two years ago we had our club anniversary trip to Gozo. I know I promised a warm 24 degrees when we only managed a chilly 20.

Well three dives this week and the temp was a marvellous 26/27 degrees. I even had a shorty on! I managed to do the one dive we missed on our trip, the Xlendi tunnel; it was spectacular with light shining from above.

What a week in Scapa… bends, wrecks and awkward DSMB’s.

Well, just driving back from an outstanding weeks diving in Scapa flow, Orkney Islands, with a motley crew of divers from around the region including Bernd, Tessa and I from BSAC 36.

5 Days In Eyemouth – Sept 2017

Back from 5 days diving at Eyemouth. Saw loads of octopus, lobsters, seals, 10m vis and to top it, some dolphins.

Diving With Friends

Spent a great Sunday with SHSUSAC at Stoney Cove… bottom car park full at 7:20am busy but vis better than expected and only once felt the cold when I took my mask off and opened my eyes!

Our 60th!​

What a great night with over 45 divers in the 6m dive pit at Ponds Forge, a 60 DSMB deployment to celebrate the clubs 60th anniversary followed by all breathing on the octopus of a buddy – what a great bunch!

Helicopters And Headaches – Farnes

Lesson 10 of the dive leader course is helicopter operations. It’s a theory lesson and one that is quite short. So you don’t expect to have a practical lesson in the middle of a club diving trip!

Portugal – A nice place to dive​

Well I had 8 dives in Portugal whilst on holiday during the last two weeks. I dived with Indigo divers in albufreira who are run by an English couple.
